Classification of butterfly valves, butterfly valves are usually classified according to such as: structural form, connection method, sealing form, driving method, use, etc. The commonly used classification methods are as follows:

Classification by structure

1. Centerline Butterfly Valve
2. Single eccentric butterfly valve
3. Double eccentric butterfly valve
4. Triple eccentric butterfly valve

Classification by connection method

1. Wafer butterfly valve
2. Flanged butterfly valve
3. Lug butterfly valve
4. Welded butterfly valve

Classification by sealing surface material

1. Soft Seal Butterfly Valve: Non-metallic materials for sealing auxiliary materials, such as rubber, silicone rubber, PTFE, etc.
2. Hard Seal Butterfly Valve: The sealing pair is composed of metal hard materials, such as: 304 stainless steel, cemented carbide, etc.

Classification by work pressure

1. Vacuum butterfly valve. Butterfly valve with working pressure lower than standard atmospheric pressure.
2. Low pressure butterfly valve. Butterfly valve with nominal pressure PN<1.6MPa.
3. Medium pressure butterfly valve. Butterfly valve with nominal pressure PN of 2.5–6.4MPa.
4. High pressure butterfly valve. Butterfly valve with nominal pressure PN of 10.0–80.0MPa.
5. Super high pressure butterfly valve. Butterfly valve with nominal pressure PN>100MPa.

Classification by drive method

1. Handle butterfly valve.
2. Worm gear butterfly valve.
3. Electric butterfly valve.
4. Pneumatic butterfly valve.
5. Hydraulic butterfly valve.

Classified by work purpose

1. Ventilation butterfly valve.
2. Pipe network butterfly valve.
3. Dust butterfly valve.
