Difference Between Swing Check Valve and Lift Check Valve

The function of the check valve is to allow the medium to flow in only one direction and prevent backflow. Swing check valve

Swing check valve has a pin mechanism, and a disc like a door freely rests on the inclined seat surface. In order to ensure that the valve clack can reach the proper position of the seat surface every time, the valve clack is set on the pin shaft mechanism, so that the valve clack has enough swing space, and makes the valve clack truly and well contact with the valve seat. When the swing check valve is fully opened, the fluid pressure is almost unimpeded, so the pressure drop through the valve will be relatively small. The valve clack can be made entirely of metal, or it can be inlaid with leather, rubber, or a synthetic cover on the metal, depending on the requirements of the practical function.

Lift check valve

The disc seat of the lift check valve is located on the sealing surface of the valve seat on the valve body. The lifting check valve is the same as the stop valve except that the valve disc can be lifted freely. The fluid pressure makes the valve disc lift from the sealing surface of the valve seat, and the backflow of the medium causes the valve disc to fall back to the valve seat and cut off the flow. . Like the stop valve, the passage of fluid through the lift check valve is also narrow, so the pressure drop through the lift check valve is larger than that of the swing check valve. According to applicable conditions, the disc can be made of all-metal mechanism, or it can be inlaid with rubber pad or rubber ring on the disc frame.

• Lifting check valve has good sealing performance and large fluid resistance. The horizontal type should be installed on a horizontal pipeline, and the vertical type should be installed on a straight pipeline.
